This was the first speedlight course of the year, and we covered a range of topics, including ETTL for both Canon and Nikon, high speed synch, rear curtain synch, use of the shutter to control ambient exposure, the pre flash, etc… It was interesting to see what people struggled with, and one thing that surprised all of the guys on the course was how useful TTL can be when used correctly. We also had a lot of fun with high speed synch, our very patient model Fiona York had to stand in the car park in a fur coat and suspenders while the rain and wind came down! Here are a few behind the scenes images which Rus Turner kindly took.

The course was great fun to run, and I’m looking forward to the next one!
